Do you know what the number 106 refers to?
This is the number of kilometres of fine sand that make up the Landes coastline.
With its huge beaches, its freshwater lakes, its marshes and numerous pine forests, the Landes region boasts natural diversity par excellence. In particular, it has the largest pine forest in Europe: it covers nearly 60% of the department’s surface area.
This great natural variety has inspired the inhabitants of the region to adapt their living and working conditions by taking advantage of
the resources available to them in the local environment. The Landes way of life is therefore strongly marked by ancestral traditions relating to agriculture, heritage, but also architecture and leisure activities.
The visits on offer during this trip focus on the importance and value of the environment and its impact on local life. A most enriching getaway!

This price includes transport by coach (from the Toulouse region), accommodation, meals (except lunches on days 3 and 4) and visits.

OPTION OF STAY WITHOUT TRANSPORT.
Accommodation
The first accommodation on the itinerary is a 3* hotel located close to the main tourist sites of Mont-de-Marsan. A comfortable establishment with a warm atmosphere, it has rooms decorated in a contemporary style
and equipped with a flat screen TV showing Canal+ and satellite channels; free Wi-Fi access; a telephone and a desk. The hotel offers a restaurant where the chef,
Thierry Pantel, will welcome you and offer traditional cuisine that uses seasonal products. A stop-over that is typical of the Landes area!
The second planned accommodation is a charming establishment affiliated to the Logis Hotels group. It is located opposite the Courant de Mimizan (about 20 minutes walk from Mimizan beach). Its pleasant rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer and a safe. The hotel’s restaurant offers local, family cuisine where the Landes region is celebrated in a relaxed, bright setting (option to eat either in the dining room or on the terrace). What a treat!
